On Saturday, October 4th 2025, join us in celebration of our creative community with the inaugural Berwyn Lantern Parade through Proksa Park. Throughout the year we are partnering with various community groups to offer FREE lantern-making workshops for all ages. Bring your creations, whether made in a workshop with us or something you make at home, to our music-filled nighttime parade alongside your Berwyn neighbors and friends. Keep an eye on this page as we add more workshops and opportunities.
Whether you'd like to walk the parade with us or watch the fun as a spectator; residents, visitors, schools, local organizations, and businesses, everyone is invited to make a lantern and join in the fun.
Important Event Notice for Public Safety:
Hand-held, non-flying lanterns only!
Battery-operated lights only, no candles or flame!
Handmade or upcycled lanterns highly encouraged!
Create your own lanterns (scroll to the bottom for resources) or join us for one of our FREE lantern workshops, details below.
