The segments on her wings have abstract pieces done by the girls. The segments are out lined with purple. Her eyes are metallic red and and snout is black with purple and blue accents. The upper back has two shades of purple and below that there is a gradient from blue to metallic red. The space between her wings is blue and so is the space below that.

Tell us your Story
The cicadas emerging this year last visited us 17 years ago. What kind of change have you seen in your city, yourself, or someone you know over the last 17 years?
Our girl scout troop brings together a diverse group of girls. The point of the artwork was to allow the girls to bring their unique talents and approaches by each painting a section to their own choosing, and the purple marker along the wings ties everything together. This is like the transformations that occur in communities -- different individuals bring their own ideas and can unite to make a cohesive whole. The name Elluxna was created by pulling together different parts of each name of the 9 girls in the troop.
